The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism reports record visitor arrivals for the first quarter of 2026, underscoring continued growth in the territory’s tourism sector. March alone saw 121,716 arrivals, up 23 percent year-over-year and 14 percent above the previous high set in 2024.
St. Thomas drove most of the gains with 98,284 March arrivals, a 24 percent increase over 2025, while St. Croix welcomed 23,432 visitors, up 20 percent year-over-year. For the full first quarter, the territory recorded 303,388 arrivals, a 12 percent rise compared to 2025.
Tourism officials attribute the strong start to sustained U.S. demand and recent promotional efforts, including sports partnerships, media collaborations, and expanded Carnival marketing. The department continues to focus on airlift, partnerships, and visibility to maintain momentum through 2026.
