Beach.com, the online travel guide known for its data-driven beach rankings, has chosen the U.S. Virgin Islands’ Trunk Bay as Number One on its list of the world’s best beaches.
Trunk Bay, on St. John, was cited for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, picturesque mountain backdrop, powder-soft white sand, and world-famous underwater snorkeling trail.
Also ranked were Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge on St. Croix, ranked No. 7, and Magens Bay Beach on St. Thomas, which came in at No. 17, making the U.S. Virgin Islands one of only a handful of destinations represented multiple times on the prestigious global list.
