E Zone is a regional logistical service provider, with offices across the English-speaking Caribbean, and as such we have developed a strategic focus on offering logistical solutions within the YIT community. To this end, there are critical and essential points of information you (the Yachties) need to know and give us ahead of time. You see each island is different, and whilst the Customs laws in each island may be similar, the interpretation of the laws and regulations will differ.
It is important to note that not every item imported into the individual islands may be viewed and a Yacht Intransit shipment. These critical pieces of information, such as the Vessel Name and registration, Captain’s name and (copy of) ID, a clear description and value of the item, which will be inputted upon the completion of a successful EZ Elite process, is absolutely necessary. The package must be EZ Elited, the YIT box ticked, and the pertinent information above attached/given, for any shipment to be considered and cleared as a Yacht in Transit.
When you sign up for your E Zone account it will be treated as a normal account for sending your personal items/packages, such as shoes, clothes, no perishables, etc. but for ship spares or YIT shipments, your EZ Elite/pre alert is paramount to offering the duty free concessions afforded to YIT packages.
