The Budget Marine Group has been confronted with price increases on products sourced from the USA as a result of tariffs introduced in 2025. In response, Budget Marine’s dynamic purchasing team immediately began sourcing products from more cost-effective, non-tariffed suppliers and has made significant progress in this area.

Historically, the Budget Marine Group has maintained a strong portfolio of European products, including Epifanes, Lofrans, Nuova Rade, Marlow, and Polyform Europe. More recently, the volume of European and UK purchases has increased further in order to avoid the 15% tariff.
Sourcing from the Far East has also expanded, particularly in the product categories of nylon and UHMWPE rope, pumps, safety products, and painting tools.
Another product category expected to see significant change is steering equipment, with sourcing for both mechanical and hydraulic systems now established through two Indian suppliers: Multisteer and Glydus.
