Celebrating the deep connection between people in the Caribbean and the natural world, Caribbean Compass and Environmental Protection in the Caribbean (EPIC) are teaming up to raise awareness about environmental issues and inspire conservation of the natural and cultural heritage that is unique to the Caribbean. The contest also highlights the shared mission of the two partners: Caribbean Compass, committed to informing and educating readers about key environmental issues; and EPIC, which for more than 25 years has advanced conservation through Science, Education, Advocacy, and Stewardship (S.E.A.S.).
Contest Categories:
- Audience Choice – Decided by popular vote.
- Sailing & Yachting Adventures — Capture the magic of life on the water: adventure, freedom, and connection with the sea.
- Caribbean Nature & the People Who Love It — Showcase the plants, animals, and landscapes or the daily harmony between people and nature, where wild beauty is not just a backdrop, but a way of life.
Prizes: More than $1,000+ in cash prizes awarded, with runners up and honorable mentions receiving additional gifts plus features on social media and partner platforms.
How to Participate: Even if you’re not submitting a photo, you can still take part by voting. You, your friends, and your family can each cast up to three votes each day during the contest.
Enter to Win: Participants must be 18 years or older and submit their original work. Up to three photos per person may be submitted using your legal name and email, which will be verified before prizes are awarded. Minor editing, such as exposure adjustments or cropping, is allowed, but heavily altered or AI-generated images are not accepted. Photos should be high-resolution, with a maximum file size of 10MB as a JPEG or PNG. Images should not include watermarks or text overlays. Both portraits and landscapes are permitted. Portraits may be featured on magazine and report covers. By submitting a photo and email, participants grant EPIC, Caribbean Compass, and sponsors the right to use the photos for our purposes and to subscribe you to our email lists.
