BVI Wreck Week 2026 returns for a week of underwater adventure and island-wide community events.

From June 21–27, residents and visitors can take part in dives to some of the BVI’s most iconic wrecks and artificial reefs, alongside beach cleanups, cultural experiences, youth activities, live music, and community celebrations — all centered around this year’s theme: “Love the Sea. Love the BVI. Keep It Thriving.”

More than just a diving festival, BVI Wreck Week has evolved into one of the Territory’s most unique eco-tourism and marine stewardship events, blending ocean exploration with local heritage and environmental awareness. Activities throughout the week will include coastal cleanups on Tortola, Virgin Gorda, and Anegada; a Salt Island cultural experience and wreath laying ceremony; pirate lore and historical storytelling; presentations and quizzes; a Paint & Sip fundraiser; movie night at Leverick Bay; and a grand farewell celebration at Nanny Cay featuring local food, music, and The Islander swimsuit fashion show.

Divers will have the opportunity to explore legendary BVI sites including the RMS Rhone, the Willy T wreck off Peter Island, SharkPlaneo near the Dog Islands, Wreck Alley near Cooper Island, the Kodiak Queen off Virgin Gorda, and weather permitting, the Chikuzen near Anegada.

“BVI Wreck Week is about celebrating the ocean that shapes our identity and livelihoods while encouraging both residents and visitors to help protect it,” said organizer Kim Huish. “Whether someone joins a dive, cleanup, cultural event, or social gathering, every activity is designed to deepen appreciation for the BVI and inspire action to keep it thriving for generations to come.”

Organizers say the week continues to grow as a signature Caribbean event that combines marine adventure, conservation, island culture, and community engagement into one unforgettable experience.

For schedules, registration details, and updates, visit BVI Wreck Week or call 284-499-1999.
