The Caribbean tourism industry will be heading to Barbados in 2027.
The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) has announced that Barbados will host the 45th edition of Caribbean Travel Marketplace, one of the region’s premier tourism trade events. The annual gathering brings together tourism boards, hotels, airlines, tour operators, travel advisors, attractions, and industry suppliers from across the Caribbean and around the world.
For Barbados, hosting the event is both a recognition of the destination’s standing within the region and an opportunity to showcase its tourism product to key industry decision-makers. For attendees, it offers a chance to strengthen partnerships, explore emerging trends, and conduct the business that helps drive visitor arrivals throughout the Caribbean.
The announcement follows the successful 2026 event and comes at a time when Caribbean tourism continues to evolve. Destinations across the region are navigating changing traveler preferences, growing competition, sustainability challenges, and opportunities created by improved airlift and technology.
As one of the Caribbean’s most important annual tourism gatherings, Marketplace serves as a reminder that while destinations compete for visitors, the region’s long-term success depends on collaboration, connectivity, and a strong tourism product.
Caribbean Compass congratulates Barbados and looks forward to following preparations for the 2027 event.
